Force India to benefit from KERS as of the German GP

As part of their technical partnership agreement with the McLaren Mercedes F1 team, Force India will implement the Kinetic Energy Recovery System on their cars in July, for the German GP at the Nurburgring circuit. This adds one more team to the current list of cars benefiting from the extra boost in horsepower, which at the moment only features BMW Sauber, Ferrari, and McLaren Mercedes.

Force India team owner Vijay Mallya told 'GPWeek', "In Germany we will introduce KERS, because the car is KERS enabled and we have a contract with Mercedes for the KERS."

Adding, "By that time the KERS will have been sorted out, McLaren will use their experience and KERS will have been debugged - if there were any bugs."
