Having been a race driver for Williams since the Brazilian GP in 2006, Kazuki Nakajima explains how he obtained a race seat, and if there was any influence from Toyota at all. And now in his second full F1 race season, it could be said that he his success was highly influenced by the Toyota young driver program.

CNN quoted Nakajima as saying, "There definitely was help from Toyota for me to find a seat in Williams but after that it's all my job."

"Basically when I was a test driver I had to perform in the testing to show the team that I'm good enough to be a race driver. There is no help on the race track so I just perform."
