Toro Rosso confirm Alguersuari race seat

Scuderia Toro Rosso have just confirmed that Jamie Alguersuari will be the teammate of Sebastian Buemi for the rest of the season. Last week, the team ditched former driver Bourdais after his performances did not meet the team's expectations.

Alguersuari's Formula One debut will be this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix, which makes him the youngest ever driver in the 59-year history of the Formula One World Championship.

The 19-year-old from Barcelona, Spain is the reigning British Formula Three champion and, before moving up to Formula One, this season, he was competing in the World Series by Renault championship. While Formula One will be very new to him, as a driver who has come up through the ranks of the Red Bull Junior Team young driver programme, he knows his new team-mate well.
