Brawn GP launches wind tunnel website

By on

Brawn GP is pleased to announce the launch of a new website dedicated to the team’s wind tunnel facilities. Brawn GPs original half-scale wind tunnel was commissioned in February 2000 and used to develop the team’s Formula One racing cars using 50% scale models. The facility is still very much state of the art with a major refurbishment having taken place in 2007.

The wind tunnel has a full aerodynamic support service which includes model design, instrumentation, electronics, aerodynamic consultancy, test support, data analysis, rapid prototyping, machining, composites and paint shop.

Other benefits of testing in the Brawn GP wind tunnel include a fully self-contained model preparation area with surface table along with a machine shop and trim shop. The facility also includes a customer meeting room, canteen and a state of the art gym.
