The Renault F1 Team today announced exciting plans for a full Renault F1 Team Roadshow in the streets of the South Korean capital, Seoul, on the first weekend of October. This spectacular event will mark the beginning of a landmark month for motorsport in South Korea, which will host its inaugural Formula 1™ Grand Prix on Sunday 24 October at the Korea International Circuit in Yeongam.

The Renault F1 Team Roadshow will give the residents of the Korean capital their first taste of the unique sights and sounds of Formula 1, on a specially constructed temporary circuit within the city. The star of the show will be the Renault F1 R29, driven by the team’s third driver Ho-Pin Tung.

The event in Seoul will be held in partnership with Renault Samsung Motors, South Korea’s number three auto maker, and the organisers of the Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix, South Jeolla Provinicial Government and Korean Auto Valley Operation.

Eric Boullier, Team Principal of the Renault F1 Team, commented: “Every time we race in a new country, we are provided with an exciting opportunity to reach out to a new public and to win new fans, by introducing them to the thrill of Formula 1. When it comes to the Korean Grand Prix, it makes sense that the Renault F1 Team should spearhead the sport’s arrival in South Korea. Renault has strong links to the country, through Renault Samsung Motors, and we are proud to be giving the residents of Seoul their first experience of F1, at the beginning of a landmark month for motorsport in South Korea.”
