No slick tyres and softening of engine homologation in 2008

By on

The FIA abandoned plans to move to slick tyres in 2008 and to make F1 cars wider. There have also been made changes in the engine homologation plans as the teams will be allowed to modify certain parts next season. These include the clutch, trumpet tray, hydraulic pumps, injection systems, alternators, fuel pumps, oil pumps, water pumps, exhaust systems, electronic sensors, electrical looms and spark plugs.
