Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Takuma Sato are under investigation by the race stewards at Interlagos for breaching the wet weather tyre rules. Article 25.3 of the Sporting Regulations states: "No driver may use more than one set of wet and one set of extreme weather tyres during Practice session 1 and practice session 2."

All three drivers, who will meet with the stewards after the second free practice session, are believed to have used two sets of wet weather tyres during the first session at Interlagos. It is not clear if the drivers will be given a sanction.
