I hope the wind isn't too strong as our car reacts sensitively - Kubica

Robert Kubica recently celebrated his best Formula One result to date with his second place at the Malaysian Grand Prix. He now travels to the third race of the season full of confidence. The BMW Sauber F1 Team driver describes the perils of the "Bahrain International Circuit".

"The circuit in Bahrain is quite different from Melbourne and Sepang", says Kubica. "It has long straights with hard braking zones. Plus, there are hardly any fast turns." In the Pole's opinion, the wind plays an important role in Bahrain. It is known for its strong gusts that blow across the circuit. "I hope it isn't too strong because our car reacts quite sensitively", says Robert.

Following the BMW Sauber F1 Team's strong performances in the first two races of the season, Robert is optimistic about the third outing of the year, particularly as he picked up the first World Championship points of his Formula One career in Bahrain last year. "I'm looking forward to the race in Bahrain", says Robert. "Of course we'll have to just see how the F1.08 performs on this circuit, but I'm confident that we can be very competitive here as well."
