I'm at the top of my game - Hamilton

After two masterful wins at Silverstone and Hockenheim, McLaren Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton seems to be drifting to the championship title on a cloud. After tons of criticism, Hamilton is now seen as the number 1 candidate for the 2009 title.

Lewis Hamilton was quoted by the British newspaper 'The Times': “I'm at the top of my game. I feel we, as a team, are at the top of our game. We have just got to keep working in the same way as we are doing and change nothing and keep working hard.”

At the moment, Lewis Hamilton leads the championship standings with 58 points. Felipe Massa follows with 54 points and World Champion Kimi Raikkonen is in third position with 51 points.

The F1 teams will have a four-day test session at the circuit of Jerez this week before travelling to Hungaroring, where Hamilton won last season.
