One example is providing equipment capable of 3D printing with industrial metal, which is said to be much faster than using traditional suppliers making castings out of big moulds - and which got an unusual amount of attention in the launch event as Ford and Red Bull gave the engine programme a lot of airtime, which was good to see.

A little different contrast:

Thats the Honda engine
No, it's from last night's launch.

surprising
Honda had an image like like it

I know.
Although we don't know which one of the 6 PU-generations was shown in the Red Bull launch

A little different contrast:
Doesnt the shaft look rather high?
Clutch is about 60mm in radius, the shaft looks a lot higher than 60mm

Looks normal to me. The triangular plate might be blanking off the MGUK connection--in which case it looks to be located ahead of the ICE. Like the Honda teaser images, this one shows a log manifold uniting the intake runners. Odd. We'll see what gets installed in the car.
I wonder what the backstory is on that model. The current issue of the regs demands six forward mounting studs (like we've seen for decades), this model however only shows four bosses for those studs, with the outer bosses omitted. That would allow a narrower chassis. Maybe an earlier rev of the regs did no demand six, and they got clever. Overall it's interesting to see how pared-down it is, combined with a structural trellising.

The picture just above our post suggest that there are 6 mounts. So that is a deviation from the render.

Wouldn't be legal, otherwise.

Thats the rear of the ICE PU the flywheel and clutch "should" be located there.
The exhaust and turbo being rearward facing.
The plate there doesn't tally with output hardware in most PU installation.
Looks much more shonky AI presentation than anything tangible.

I suspect that the triangular plate is an access port for the oil pump which is driven by a gear on the end of the crankshaft.

For future reference
"For example, a big advantage of working with Ford is their production capacity. We use quite a few parts that we call Direct Metal Laser Sintering, abbreviated DMLS. You should actually see that as a digital casting process, with which we can produce these 3D metal parts very quickly. For example, the turbine housing is made by Ford, but according to our design."

The turbine housing is 3D printed with DMLS by Ford.

What I would like to know is whether or not the intercooler is inside the V. In theory you would do this to reduce the turbo lag. You want the shortest distance possible between the compressor outlet and the cylinder intake port. Therefore I cannot imagine that Red Bull would keep the sidepod mounted intercoolers from last season.
