if there ever wars a source for getting cancer asap, i'd say this is one of it.
seriously? i didn't expect this to even exist, yet be allowed by the health federation.
do you guys just want to invite cancer in your lives?
take it from somebody who's had it that it's the last thing you'd ever want to contract, why on earth go out and invite it? and how on earth is it bling? it makes no sense and it looks sorry to say quite stupid imho. you set back what, 250 bucks for just one, for all that money you can get a real proper set of cups/mugs and with a little luck, you can even buy a REAL decent and awesome coffee machine (like classic italian ones) that give you a taste and experience like never before.
as for the health risks, there is little yet known about direct and indirect effects of carbon fiber, BUT there is plenty about the undeniable risk of epoxy, which will be 100% part of these mugs.
primary risk associated with epoxy use is often related to the hardener component and not to the epoxy resin itself. Amine hardeners in particular are generally corrosive, but may also be classed as toxic or carcinogenic/mutagenic. Aromatic amines present a particular health hazard (most are known or suspected carcinogens).
just to remember those who seem to lack understanding what carcinogenic means = CANCER INFLICTING.
Liquid epoxy resins in their uncured state are mostly classed as irritant to the eyes and skin, as well as toxic to aquatic organisms. Just let that sink in, and then you pour 100 degrees water into a cup filled with epoxy resin which will take ALL THE HEAT since the carbon fiber wont. you want it to turn liquid and destroy you?
One particular risk associated with epoxy resins is sensitization. The risk has been shown to be more pronounced in epoxy resins containing low molecular weight epoxy diluents. Exposure to epoxy resins can, over time, induce an allergic reaction. Sensitization generally occurs due to repeated exposure (e.g. through poor working hygiene or lack of protective equipment) over a long period of time. Allergic reaction sometimes occurs at a time which is delayed several days from the exposure. Allergic reaction is often visible in the form of dermatitis, particularly in areas where the exposure has been highest (commonly hands and forearms). Epoxy use is a main source of occupational asthma among users of plastics.
OH COOL, you have a literal CUP OF CANCER
seriously, how on earth do people get it in their heads to buy this stuff.
