Wishing harm on another person is not the actions of a mature adult, no matter how you dress it up.
Luckily, MrE is a tough ol' coot and no doubt there will be a typically humurous and sarcastic comment from him soon.

Do we know for certain this was a mugging, it couldn't just have been the girl's protective grandpa or something?

Wow to some of these comments. If you think he deserves this, then you really need to step back and think if the punishment really fits the crime. Getting mugged does not even out some crass comments he made to the media. Having an unpopular opinion does not mean you deserve to be beaten out of your money.

No one deserves to be assaulted

He laughed when asked about Button being assaulted. Had to ram five cars to get away from armed thugs. He laughed and said the story was told so many times that he really thought they wanted to sell button a hat. I bet he no longer thinks it's funny. Don't wish him any harm but he laughed when it happened to someone else. Maybe he won't be laughing any more.

I hear his species can survive hard radiation, high vacuum, desiccation and multiple alimonies.
Edit: Big fuss over nothing, turns out it was just Martin Brundle attempting to get anonther interview. They say he just wanders the streets post season, pulling random pedestrians aside and asking them about their feelings on "the race"...

In Brazil, Bernie appeared to take pleasure from misfortune of others ...
I am not wishing the poison-dwarf any actual harm, but boy does this situation stink of the chickens coming home to roost (metaphorically speaking).

"...it was a good whacking."

That's one way to describe it MrE!

Ouch ... IMHO, he actually looks worse than Felipe did after his accident (though I doubt that the injury is anywhere near as extreme) ...

Looks like had glasses on when he was hit, since that is such a perfectly shaped bruise.

It's likely. He wears glasses all the time.

Bernie could pick some tips from Max as he got off better - not one but five hookers for much less money and no black eye!
