Hi all, I registered for the challenge a few days ago and have been lurking in here for a while. I'm wondering if it's too late to join for the race this week.
Welcome! Yeah, you can join. The deadline is Sunday evening. Just make sure that the organizer (LVDH) notices your entry, so you'll get the link to submit the car.

Hopefully you have a car ready, because there's little remaining time to do anything...
how do I contact the organizer, I already sent a message on the MVRC site...

Ignore Car Coarse, use MVRC short and the process of 'apply settings' -> 'build case' -> 'run case'
its the same problem with other templates as well
Not sure if you're on windows or linux but I'd suggest making sure you have a compatible version of open foam etc installed as it does require a specific version and not the latest release

Communicado Official

Obviously it's all about the drag reduction here, so we have the smallest wings I could manage.

Reworked the sidepod inlets to overbite, which allowed the radiators to come even further forward. This gave more room to ease the angle of the ramp down toward the rear suspension and diffuser.

The only changes to the floor were legality, the cut in the floor wing area was revealing the sidepod and I had a minor violation with about 5mm of the gearbox at the rear.

I'm looking at a drag value in the ballpark of what G-Raph ran in 2023 Monza, but with more downforce.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the winner up near 4.5 Cl/Cd this year.

Nice car as usual, Team Panthera.
4.5 seems a bit optimistic, but everything is possibile for GRaph and Variante.

Here is my entry for the next race.
Most of the development has been focused on the low downforce wings and reducing the cooling as I had a big margin to work with.
Nice to see a lot of new entries and a good evolution from Panthera :) . Good luck everyone and looking forward to the race :D

Beautiful evolution of the Pink Panther. Very gentle sidepods now and, yeah, very small rear wing. Too small? We'll see.

Nice effort from Hermes too. Looks like a solid design.

My car has been uploaded. Since the championship is lost, I decided to not evolve my car, but rather to simply adapt it to Monza specs (mid-low downforce). We'll see if that's enough for a good result.
Images will come.

It's time for Monza!

It should be a very interesting one, with new entries, good developments and close efficiency between the cars.
This race is difficult to predict, although Variante should still be the favourite, with his higher efficiency and (in theory) no risk of any rear wing stall this time.
It will be about who can get the drag level right, and keep the correct balance.

Good luck everyone!

From my side, I ran my last simulation of the year a month ago (which was iteration 150). All the changes for this race are specific to Monza :

- Reduced rake angle by half (so still not running fully flat and low as everyone else)
- Minor changes to the diffuser top corner radius.
- And of course much smaller Front and Rear Wings, including a tiny beamwing.

I'm definitely not expecting to reach 4.5 efficiency, at best 4.3 if everything correlates (which it rarely does). I should also be slightly above the drag level from last year, probably around 1.2Cd (I won last year with 1.16).

Amazing renders from Panthera , hermes and G-raph!!!
It always got me wondering, where are you guys making these renders?

I hope my submission (Rusted GP) didn’t have any issues with the dropbox. Using the template car with a few modifications as I spent minimal time on it so I don’t see the debut results to be good. Hopefully I have time to develop a completely new car for the final race.
Also curious about the renders too

I just import my STLs into Blender and make the most out of free resources, nothing fancy on my behalf!

Did you manage to submit the car?
