From my perspective from distant Canada, Stoddard was a passionate man who fought many people all the time while in charge of Minardi. Yes, you can admire a man who stands up for what he believes in and is willing to fight for it, but the manner in which he conducted himself was not as low key and with class like Minardi, or Sauber.
When Minardi had the team, it was a backmarker, but ran without ugly political confrontations. When Stoddard took over, it remained a back marker, and in the end when he sold the team, it was more known for the man who fought Max at every turn, than it's accomplishments on the track.

In your opinion, what's the reason why Renault can make better cars with less money than some other teams?

It is because of the Renault's philosophy all the way since 1898 - creativeness, inventiveness and no slaving to anything conservative.

Does that mean that they have more crative engineers?

With all the talent in F1 I'd say they communicate with each other well and manage their finances better. Simple.

I'm talking about approach and philosophy oposite to one that already destroyed British auto industry. Basically, Renault has no restrains and their engineers and designers have more freedom to expore than for example engeers at Mercedes.

Look at 2005, technical analysis of the Chinese Grand PRix, you will see how they managed to do with there ballast, they have to be more creative because they do not have a big budget.
