I´ll bet that on some other internet forums someone will post Manchild´s BWM airbox idea and afirmations about BMW testing it will spread all over the net

This is what happens with current airboxes and I though trumpets could be feeded more directly from sidepods.

But maybe its just a geometry-simplicity solution.
But how would that reduce negative effect of raised head protection?
