Scripts:
Individual car:
http://www.khamsinvirtualracecarchallen ... ects=0&d=1
Winning cars:
http://www.khamsinvirtualracecarchallen ... ects=0&d=1
These scripts were run using pvbatch (the batch script version of ParaView). I am not 100% sure how these will work when loaded in ParaView itself - be careful of path (the individual car script expects you to have pvbatch or ParaView running from the directory where the "analysis.foam" file is located) and that the script has a look in it (ie it goes on generating pictures until it is done)...

Hi, what would you think if I opened a discussion about the KVRC on the italian
http://www.CAD3d.it forum? Do you think it could help to improve KVRC visibility?

Hi, I found this alternative to BlueCFD singlecore which supports OpenMPI and Swak4Foam:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openfoam21win64/
The problem is that I can't get it running with Khamsin. I first tried to change the Tool location (openFOAM -settings) to:
"C:/Program Files/OpenFOAM/DOS_Mode.bat"
But I get the following error:
Message: can't convert nil intro String.
The other paths for mpisettings and groovyBC are not available for selection ????
And if I try to run the Analysis (Go - Local) I get another error:
Error: Platform is not supported. Supported platforms are linuxmingw-w64DPOpt, linuxmingw-w32DPOpt, and linuxmingw-w32DSOpt. Contact support for more information.
BlueCFD singleprocessor works well in my machine, but it would be great to be able to reduce processing time with OpenMPI and to be able to use GroovyBC.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me. Thanks in advance.

I have a question regarding the diffuser regulations.
The area defined in the rules, does that have to include any gurney flaps or can they extend out of the box?

No bodywork can extend out of the box. The max height of the diffuser is 125mm above the RP (25mm below the top of the box), they gurney at 150 I believe (top of the box).

I have submitted my car for Silverstone but I have not received any confirmation email: is everything working well?

Variante
CSR
Furia
CAE
JJR
BigSpace
Bleeding Edge
Sorry for no posts lately, been busy with other stuff between this race and the last race + it seems to of flown by the last few weeks

Hi, I have a question about rear-view mirrors: I've seen at least a car in the previous races that seemed to have rear view mirrors located quite low compared to the sidepod frontal inlet, so the about half of the reflecting surface was not visible when looking at the car from the rear wheels. Is this position considered legal?

They will be low, prob low enough to be out of use technically, but still within the allowed area but not blocked by the sidepods because the inlets must be completely visible from the front.
On images of cars. It is something we have been a bit slack with I guess - its one of those many things to do. Julien is planning some renders for this race which should look good.

Yes I confirm your interpretation of my doubts: thanks a lot.
Nothing to complain about the last races, but this could be a point to improve for the next year rules.
