Where do you have this info from?
DMSB wrote:Article 5.1.5: The bodywork width of the car without homologated external view mirrors must not exceed 1850 mm.

Sorry, your right, defenetly 2011 stepulate the max wide of the cars at 1850, even in 2011 they seem wider but is not, 1950 mm is the max for 2012 says the manufactors, the shape of the cars is well made but i wouldnt undress the cars of aero that much, one characteristic that define dtm is there unike silouetes, 2011 was too much i agree but 2006 was very good!

That's been an open secret for a long time. I seem to remember it was an open secret even back in the DTM opener this year in Hockenheim.

Wow amazing qualifying!
Werner could have taken pole but locked the fronts into the haripin.
BMW and Audi had 4 cars in Top 10, Mercedes 2.
BMW´s looks very strong when they hit the sweet spot.
ave to say i enjoyed the qualifying format and the shoot-out.

Mercedes looked good.
Also, the Hockenheim opener is, historically, a good indication of who the eventual champion will be. But Mercedes won the first race last year but did not go on to win the championship.............
These days, I prefer the Aussie V8 Supercar series. The series is very similar to DTM with lots of 'control' components. Thirty 500bhp 1,300kg beasts roaming around the track on skinny tyres make for exciting racing with lots of fender-bending actions. The series used to be a bit boring before the big monies arrived to support the series. But it is now more akin to the DTM of the late 1980's and early 1990's - i.e. non-stop actions!!!

That Merc has got quite the race pace...

It was a nice race, a bit boring at times but overall a good race. The race-pace of the Mercs was unbelivable, who would´ve thought they´d win after that dissapointing quali

BMW´s situation was the exact opposite, nice quali but they dissapointed in the race.
Btw, how many cars did Ralf hit anyways?
