Michael Schumacher is the most succesful F1 driver in the history of Grand Prix racing. He was born in Hürth-Hermuelheim, Germany. He entered F1 in 1991 as a replacement of Betrand Gachot in a Jordan but was snatched away by Flavio Briatore to drive for Benetton.
Schumacher quickly displayed potential with 8 podium places in 1992 and his first win at the Belgian GP in Spa Francorchamps. He became world champion with Benetton in 1994 and 1995 before moving to Ferrari. His first of a string of 5 world titles came in 2000. He was unbeatable for 5 years thanks to an astonishing Ferrari every year and sometimes blatant team orders.
The German raced two more years in F1 only to see Fernando Alonso take both championships before leaving racing and taking up the role of Jean Todt's assistant at Ferrari.
Franck Montagny was born on January 5, 1978 in Feurs, France. Montagny made his F1 debut in 2003 as test driver for the Renault F1 Team and became the team's third driver until the end of 2005.
For the 2006 season, Montagny signed a contract as third driver for the Super Aguri Formula One Team and was promoted race driver as Yuji Ide was demoted by the FIA. Montagny drove his first race during the 2006 European Grand Prix and was replaced by Sakon Yamamoto for the 2006 German GP. Montagny though kept his role as third driver for the team.
Lewis Carl Hamilton was born on 7 January 1985 in Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. After becoming GP2 Champion in 2006, he signed a contract with the McLaren Mercedes Team as their second race driver for the 2007 season.

Birthday of Italian driver Giancarlo Fisichella. Often called 'Fisico' and seen as a true talent by lots of people. Won his first race in a Jordan in Brazil 2003 but later at Renault seemed to suffer a bit when pressurized. Fisichella was born in Rome and started his career with Minardi in 1996.
Kumar Ram Narain Karthikeyan was born January 14, 1977 in Coimbatore, India. He has previously competed in Formula One, and is currently an A1GP driver. He made his Formula One debut in 2005 with the Jordan team, and was a WilliamsF1 test driver in 2006 and 2007. He also owns a racing team in the domestic racing in india.

Joseph Gilles Henri Villeneuve (January 18, 1950 – May 8, 1982) was a Canadian Formula One racing driver. He is considered one of the greatest drivers ever in Formula One and was known for his kind character combined with incredible skills.
Villeneuve died in a 140 mph crash with the March of Jochen Mass during practice for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder.
Mexican Pedro Rodríguez is a double winner in F1. He was considered the best driver of his era in the wet. He developed into one of the sport's greatest all-rounders, racing CanAm, NASCAR, rallies and even becoming North American Ice Racing champion in 1970.
Rodríguez was killed in an Interserie sports car race at Norisring in Nuremberg, Germany, on 11 July 1971, at the wheel of a Ferrari 512M.
Button was born in Frome, Somerset, England. He was the youngest man in F1 when he joined Williams in 2000 and drove for Benetton in 2001 and Renault in 2002 before joining BAR which later became the Honda works team. When Honda left in 2008, the team was renamed to Brawn GP and Button clinched his first world championship, battling it out with Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull until the final race.
In 2010 he chose to join McLaren and partner Lewis Hamilton.
Scott Andrew Speed was born on 24 January 1983 in Manteca, USA. He made his F1 race debut at the 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix as 2nd driver for the new Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 Team.
Takuma Sato was born on January 28, 1977. In 2002, Sato graduated to F1 and raced for the Jordan team. For the 2003 season, Takuma moved to B.A.R. as test driver and drove the final race of the season as replacer of Jacques Villeneuve. He was granted a raceseat alongside Jenson Button during the next two years. After the 2005 season, Sato moved to the all new, Japanese team, Super Aguri.
