It's been requested before to be implemented on this site, but all browsers currently support spell checking to allow you to post correct spelled messaged.

Just to help you guys out, here's a quick guide:

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3
This enables spell checking in big text areas (the post content), but if you also want checking in the title fields, please check this page out: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/uncatego ... ut-fields/

Opera: http://www.opera.com/browser/tutorials/spellcheck/

Internet Explorer: http://www.iespell.com/

It's rubbish [see why]. It would be a lot quicker to create a word document, type the post there and then copypaste it to the forum than to use the GNU Aspel with Opera.

Really? I've been using the one built into Mac OS/X, and it finds things like"Ive". It would also want to spell Google with an uppercase G.

Having a spell checker, and using it's suggestions are two totally different things I guess.

Funny thing, it skipped Ive here... but fixes ive. May be that's because Ive is a name... but who knows?

And I'm fine spelling google with no uppercase letters, thank you for asking.

My aim wasn't to point you out as a poor speller, I was just wondering why the Google spell checker missed those, especially in a post specifically about spell checking.

You have to admit, it's hard to not bite when someone spells wrong in a post about spelling. You explanation makes sense about Ive, and you are free to use improper capitalization as you see fit, it's a free world.
