That was a great race, and such great racing after the red flag. Great decision to extend the race for the fans.

Penske and Porsche must look inward being beaten by their customer team...but 2nd place is good points and extending the championship lead for the 6 car. For the 5 car, the less said the better.

It was a great race, restarting was the right call.

Just wish the procedures didn’t gift a win at random… at least make them earn the win after giving track position.

Christensen really is not delivering this season for the 5 Porsche, bad performance in Qatar and a really bad mistake today. Campbell deserves better… Andlauer must surely be on their radar after today.

It will come together for Ferrari soon. Unlucky today, but they really have a great package and are on top of tyre management this year, which is always key in endurance racing. What a season so far in general, can’t wait for Le Mans!

Christensen's year has been wretched. He and Laurens Vanthoor were the best Porsche drivers last year. In Qatar he got a race ruining tire failure because he was abusing the famous Qatar kerbs more than his teammates. Nevertheless, I'm sure he will recover. Estre made far more mistakes last year including crashing out at Le Mans and remained with the team.

Regarding Andlauer, Porsche tends to sack their oldest drivers before the young ones. Lotterer has been driving in a very uninspired way lately. My guess is that he will be the first to go. Andlauer will be promoted.

Regarding Toyota, it was a quiet and suspicious race. I'm sure they were managing the BOP this weekend. Teams can manipulate the performance by raising the ride height to be "Safe". If you study the BOP parameters, there has been a large swing their way compared to last year at Spa where they finished 1-2. They will be hoping for no changes to the BOP heading into Le Mans.

Alpine and Puegeot could use some help. Let us hope the FIA makes an adjustment.

The FIA is a complete joke. Without the race restarted Ferrari wins 1-2 guaranteed. The race was manipulated and had zero integrity. Everyone knows the only reason why Porsche won is because the # 12 and #6 Porsche were the two that had pitted just before the stoppage of the race. Porsche didnt win on merrit. They were given the win on a silver platter. The events of today's Spa 6 hours are similar to the 2008 Singapour F1 Grand Prix better known as Crash Gate. Embarrassment. Also Earl Bamber is a danger out there. He is 100% responsible for the crash . The FIA is giving him a five place grid drop for the next race but that is far too lenient.

Nice to see that restart and amazingly good racing. But who though it was smart
to close the pits.

Sure I understand they wanted to prevent the benefit of pitting under FCY or when the SC comes out. But this is ridiculous have to stop twice while the whole pack is bunched up.

In the end I don't think the Ferrari team is too upset. They saw what we all saw. Ferrari has zero tire degradation, high top speed/aero efficiency, and perfect reliability. They will be the favorites at Le Mans.

That Ferrari is pretty fast in straight line too it was very clear when it was fighting the Porsche I think they will be really good at Le Mans.

Porsche will be great in the sector 3 in the Porsche curve and on the breakes for the chicane in sector 2 with their stability

Can't wait for Le Mans
Wonder if Cadillac will maintain this pace and if the Peugeot will unexpectedly shine like last year

For viewing pleasure:

Not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 moves by Andlauer into Eau Rouge. Crazy stuff.

A really exciting IMSA race at Laguna Seca too. Sportscars is indeed in a new golden era!

Very similar move that Stefan Bellof attempted on Jacky Ickx in 1985 and then the German driver died.

In this optic , the upcoming 24 Hours of LeMans will be the 42 Hours of Le Mans . The Ferraris will be legitimately in the lead, have some back marker crash, stop the race and let Porsche win. A very likely scenario
