We are coming to the end of the old decade. What are the top 10 races of the decade. Anything from 2000 to 2009???

So far my votes are theese:

Hungary 2006
Turkey 2006
Brazil 2007
Europe 2007
Brazil 2007
Japan 2007
Monaco 2008
Monza 2008
Japan 2008
Brazil 2008
Italy 2009
Brazil 2009
Abu Dhabi 2009

Those ars just some for concideration. But there are more from earlier in the decade. What would you say are the top races of the decade.

My memory isn't good enough to even dare name a top 10. Here's one from the top of my head that should definitely be in any list - 2005 Japanese GP @ Suzuka with some nail-biting overtaking from Kimi and Alonso.

Duh. Google for "Formula 1 Japan GP 2005 F1 (download torrent) - TPB". Hurry up before I denounce them to FIA, I'm outraged by people pirating movies.

San Marino 2006 was a great battle between Alonso and Schumacher defending with every trick in the book including some shrewed tactics on refuelling.

There was magny-cours 2004, schumacher, brawn and the 4 stop strategy.

There was SPA 2000, hakkinen overtaking schumacher and another car in one go in the wet race.

there was the 2001 malaysian GP where ferrari came from the back of the field to take a 1-2 in the rain.

There was that race where Kimi overtook Fisi in the last corner.

Monaco 2008, and absolutely amazing drive for Kubica. Only one driver with no mistake in extremely difficult conditions.
Brilliant! Great talent & great race.

Indy 2005. 8)

Spa 2008 was pretty good with Kimi and Hambone battling it out the last couple of laps. Spa 2001 featured what many consider the best overtake in history (not me). Brazil 2003 was a good one too. I wish SPEED would bring back F1 Decade!
Best regards. I guess this explains why I'm not at my post!

For me the best one of the last decade.. Brazil 1998. What drama, what emotion. Pure joy in Hamilton and pure pride in Massa! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

And Monaco 2008 - For one, I was there on the Metropole Hotel balcony, second Hamilton showed what a great driver he is in the wet!

One for just outside the naughties, but still a classic race = Spa 1998, Hill wins in appalling conditions to give Jordan GP maiden victory! Awesome :)
F1 should NEVER be on SKY!

Well, I know that wasn't a great race in the sense you want to hear about. No records were broken (that I remember), no heroic feats were achieved.

Look, it was Monaco, 2003. I wake up at 5 a.m. or so, to watch the race. I sit in front of the TV (my wife was aslept), right at the bottom of the bed. I turn the volume almost off. The race starts, Juan is doing very well.

My son wakes up at 5: 30 a.m. He was maybe four years old. He sits on my lap and we watch together the race, in silence. He's young, but he knows who is driving what, there is no need for explanations from me. The kid is as brilliant as dad (and as handsome! :)).

Juan wins, to my surprise. I feel the little hand of my kid clutching mine: he squeezes my hand when the car crosses the line. Then, we see Juan stepping in the podium, we see the flag, we hear the anthem. Then, Stephania hands Juan a bouquet of flowers. My kiddo asks me: "Who is she?". I answer, without thinking too much: "She's a real princess". I see his face: his eyes are twinkling. Guys, I swear, my eyes felt wet.

As for my son, he has driven karts since that day: he wants his princess, I know.

Formula One doesn't get better than that, lemme tell you.

brazil 2008 was definitely the best race of the decade, for the occasion, for the driving, for the weather, for the drivers, for the sportsmanship, for the tension, it was all rolled into one massive race! fantastic stuff
