as i understand Vasselon and a core team are still working in cologne on the project:
http://www.motorsport-total.com/f1/news ... 21611.html

also it was communicated that the facility in cologne would be available to stefanovic for two years as well as engines ....

ok he´s trying to hire back ex-Toyota F1 personel ..seems that the voids in the staff seem already big .

so to me it looks as he´s not only buying 3d data but getting the whole car + the people to run the operation.

also realistically the people actually designing the car will not be the ones campaigning it ....and really i cannot see the benefit of knowing all the thinking behind this and that at this time .but this will be a huge mountain to climb if you start to build a new car based on no database ....this in fact is the reason why the new teams rely on experience recruited from other teams...but then you only get snapshot from the whole idea so to get all this integrated into a whole car is likely to show deficiencies as well .
So of course the whole task is difficult indeed but in SGPs position they have no choice really at this time and for being that late in timing it seems they are quite advanced in their schedule compared to others nominated a lot earlier.

 Toyota engines in 2010? I thought it was a no no for Toyota and any team buying the chassis IP would run Cosies.

If Stefanovic is buying all the resources to run the car then he will in fact be buying Toyota's F1 operation sand the facility where I assume he will rent space? This is a workable solution which is in effect a rebrand of the Toyota team, not a simple IP handover.

You are correct in that the people who design the car don't campaign it, but those designers are the helpdesk for solving any setup problems and for guiding the team how to best deploy the car and what the effects are of changes. Typically the operations staff are mostly hightly qualified mechanics led by a few engineers. The engine folk are usually factory engineers who do participate in the engines design.

I doubt Toyota will be selling the engine IP. Thats where the most secretive pieces of information are experimented with, developed and deployed. I think Stefan will be running a Cosworth in the Toyota chassis.

Him trying to rehire chassis development engineers and aerodynamisists is indicative of the complexity of working off a design not conceived in his own engineers brains. This supports what I was early about a data pack not containng all the information required to build a successful chassis. Theres a lot of info not written down that is invaluable. Rehiring those engineers is a very very smart move.

it is claimed that 20 engines were ordered already by an outside party and 4 chassis were under final construction...work going on with core team of 150 people under the direction of Vasselon ...looks like a Toyota-Toyota as a startoff...for SGP from this...

Stefan Gp announces FIA Crash test for 3rd week in january ,private tests confirmed
sound design and potential to reduce weight of the rear structure for the official FIA test:

I guess ,the heat is on for all teams already confirmed for 2010 .There will be no
concessions in terms of starting the season a race late or something...obviously.
