oh boy, Merc and McLaren D(T?)DDs are huge complicated monsters, while F10, C29 and R30 are rather small and simple

why is it that teams that didn't have slits in the back of their engine cover last year now have slits, and teams that did have slits in the back of their engine cover last year now have even bigger slits (or gaping hole like toro rosso). what's changed so much that requires this to be done? thanks...
Best regards. I guess this explains why I'm not at my post!

Did anybody make comparison of 2010 cars' wheelbases already? Because I can't find it.

I mean comparision with Renault, Ferrari, McLaren, Sauber, Virgin. (except of Toro Rosso & Mercedes & Willimas - they didn't provide proper photos)
It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

They are probably running the engines leaner and therefore hotter, requiring more cooling... or maybe they figuered out that exhausting thru the engine cover is more efficient than thru the sidepods.

It would indeed be good if somebody did an evaluation using the cockpit template as the base line and looking at how the absolute wheelbase splits to the rear and front. I would guess that most of the added wheel base will be to the rear.

Good effort, but the idea was a top view using the front and rear cockpit template to scale the pictures. All teams have to use the same cockpit opening length. If the cars are aligned that way you can see where the wheelbase goes.
