This is unfortunately true Manchild, a few years back we had a referendum on the issue but our serving prime minister at the time was a devout monarchist so the whole process was rather one sided.

I live in Victoria and i really have to strongly agree with Webbers comments, the govt pulls in millions of dollars annually from fines with none of it used to help solve the problem...currently we have the least amount of legal alternatives we have ever had, no programs to improve driving ability...just greater revenue raising...Maybe Webber could be the person to speak out for the car enthusiasts...i can only hope because no one is on our side.

I don't think Mercedes are too worried, Lewis might even get a nice bonus for his actions.

Now I get why Bernie wants to ditch Silverstone - two races in UK is indeed too much.

to the optimist a glass is half full ; to the pessimist a glass is half empty ; to the F1 engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

I thought Australia was independent, but wiki proved me wrong:

The form of government used in Australia is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system of government. Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Australia, a role that is distinct from her position as monarch of the other Commonwealth realms. The Queen is represented by the Governor-General at federal level and by the Governors at state level.

Haha yeah..Oz is independent...but a part of the Commonwealth..and yes many attempts have been made to become a republic..

Sadly Lewis' antics came at the wrong time (the state toll for road accidents was highest as compared to last 5 years)..so did Mark Webbers comments and they were called "D***heads by the top cop"
