Hi all!

In the latest issue of race engine Technology, there should be an article about the transmission on the C12 and how it provided a switch in technology.

Has anybody more info about this?

Regards, Matt

Marcush, for some reason I don't see pictures in both of your posts.
What's more, I was able to view pics from your posts above by copying link and opening in separate window, but doing so with image link from your last post showed a heavily tattoo'd lady.

But what was so special about this.
And as far as I know Sauber had a transverse gearbox

on the pic -which you can´t see- it is very clear that this is a longitudinal box ,very clean outer shape no access doors just nice flat aero surfaces ..acess solely from diff cover and input sghaft cover.
Did any team have inpoard longitudinal boxes at that time? I think back then everyone had transversial inboard trans.

I think Williams and McLaren had also longitudinally mounted gearboxes

Marcush, download the picture onto your computer, then upload it onto tinypic.com and copy that link, it will work for everyone then not just you.
