The German media is reporting that Ex-Renault GM Flavio Briatore has been seen at Ferrari headquarters an a couple of occasions. Briatore spent some time in the Ferrari pit at Monza and was seen chatting with President Luca di Montezemolo and Fiat top brass John Elkann and Sergio Marchione. Briatore would replace current GM Stefano Domenicali. I was wondering what the members here think of this likely eventuality?

The perfect guy for a whining ferrari team. Besides, Fred likes him!

Now the conspiracy stuff: ferrari wishing for some more points, Fred ahead of Massa in points, Massa is Brazilian and fighting to keep his seat, Massa dad's constantly in the pits. Where the hell is Pat Symmonds? :)

Flav would have to get an FIA license to take over for Stephano. I don't see that happening, since they established the licenses for the sole purpose of keeping him out. :wink:

Acourse,Briatore does well with cheating to win.

Flav is just trying to put Webber in Massa's seat.

So he wants to swap Webber for Massa? Not a bad deal for Red Bull :mrgreen:

I don't think Flavio would want Mark/Alonso in the same team. Both are (were?) managed by him, and I do blieve he likes both of them. Webbo has made it clear he doesn't want to be a Number 2 driver, and Alonso won't like that.

Flav works for CVC nowadays they say.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

Flav needs to get his boat out of hock, and Webber/Ferrari is the most lucrative deal he can make.

This reminds me when runour was Cesare Fiorio was to take over the Ferrari F1 team in the 90s, Montezemolo responded;

"Obviously, while I will ask Ronaldo to drive"
"Bernoulli is a nine-letter name"
