Renault V10

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Hi people, being a sucker for car porn I was hoping people could post up any good pics of renaults V10's from RS3 to RS09.
To me, they were class leading in design and still appear as though they are up date in terms of packaging and architecture.
There are heaps of google pics which probably don't need posting, I have seen glimpses and heard of a few of these motors laying around in pieces at prestige car restoration workshops.

Anybody seen them around?

There are no seat belts, i doubt those are functional seats.

Just think about the heat that engine would be giving off : it would be a good way to torture someone you didn't like, by deafening and slowly frying them ...

Mmmmm ... Sauteed longpig ... it's a good job that lunchtime is coming up, as this is making me hungry!

Those seats are functional, when the belts were fitted Renault would give guests rides aroung the track in between F1 practice sessions. I saw it at silverstone that year and Frank Williams even got a ride in it! I'm guessing the engine got covered over, but yes it was LOUD...
