Oh and Mclaren never complained till they showed up and got slapped by Ferrari and a straight up beating from Red Bull. When they thought the rule change would bring them closer to Red Bull they liked it. Lastly Red Bull IS running different from how they thought they would. They didn't get their 50% cold blowing till Friday, while Mercedes had 10% hot blowing coming in to the weekend, if they ran 50% in quali, I highly doubt it hurt them.
McLaren ran practice with 10% off throttle but with fuelled overrun. This was agreed with the FIA over a week ago but revoked 20 mins before qualifying. That fuelled overrun is important to the Mercedes based teams to balance engine braking, and in particular KERS harvesting.
Red Bull used 10% off throttle cold blowing during final practice and carried this in to qualifying and the race - exactly what they thought they would be running last Thursday night. They didn't even ask for 50% cold blowing until the Friday, and this was revoked before final practice.
So nice try and muddying the waters, but you are factually incorrect.
