Ferrari, according some rumors, is going to copy Red Bull rear suspensions (pull-rod type) for the next year car. With this solution they want to project a lower and smaller rear.

:) yes, there is a thread about this in the aerodynamics section. Nice to see those rumours abuzz. Sounds about right.

Something looks funky about that photo. Is that an RB5? Seems a lot fatter than an RB7

Not a big surprise. It looks as if the aerodynamic benefits are just too great.

Maybe they should just buy the whole car from RB!

And who wouldn't - if it was for sale and if they had the money.
I've found a way of ducting exhaust right to the diffuser edge like in 2011 and created a new wheel fastener that could allow sub 2 second pitstops see them here --> My 2013 F1 Concept Project

Jolly good news. The Maranello squad is taking an aggressive approach at their 2012 car and the first thing you hear is they are going to copy the championship winning Red Bull design.

Good luck to them. I wonder how long it will take them to fire Montezemolo and get a new dream team together. Probably when Newey gets tired of working in F1 or wants a two year $ 100 mil contract for his retirement fund.

It's only an example of the rear suspensions.

It's an RB6 rear.

Key phrase: "Some rumors"

I would be surprised if there were any validity to them. Who would leak an early design detail? Risk of being fired outright.. you'd have to be insane.

This kind of information leak has already happened with Ferrari recently, with the hole in the nose of 2008 for example.

Italian magazine autosprint often publishes rumors about ferrari which have a good probability of being true.

I was under the impression the hole in the nose was a mid season change.

Either way, that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and honestly a big mind boggling from anyone at Ferrari or any pro race team.

We can only wait a few months, but usually these rumors are true.
