7:54 Mercedes CLK DTM AMG (unknown lap length)

its not VLN tracklength, it just nordschleife, its just a roadcar

Aye, fair enough.

I'll stand corrected.

Still no way on God's green earth that the SLS is faster than a DTM car..

Isn't the safety car not a normal SLS though? I remember someone saying once that it was a lighter car and with a better aero package.

FYI, the current VLN lap record is 8:04.471 by Manthey Racing Porsche 997 GT3 R (SP9/FIA GT3 class). Current DTM cars are waaay faster than that, I doubt we're ever see them at the 'Ring though.
The VLN layout is longer than the Tourist Nordschleife lap by ~30 sec.

PS: that CLK AMG DTM seems like very serious piece of kit! http://www.rsportscars.com/mercedes-ben ... k-dtm-amg/

I saw one once. Truly impressive. =D>

@raymond: I tought it was a standard SLS with some lights on the roof, 6-point seatbelt and more buttons on the cockpit.

The VLN layout is longer than the Tourist Nordschleife lap by ~30 sec.

Are you really sure of that? I am pretty sure they nearly complete the Nordschleife then run the short track which is at least 3km long. 30s to run 3km would be pretty fast.

You're right. It was a bad guess on my part. Just watched a couple of videos, the GP part is about 70-80 seconds (in a GT3 car).
