I thought all the teams have run on 4 cylinders when not on the power? And have done for some time now? I remember Brundle mentioning it back in 2007.

This man has no shame at all. After what he has done during 1994. followed by his Ferrari days and DDD exclusivity for his own team.

Perhaps someone could "eardrop" to recordings of B194, and check what MoSSley fixed up in his favor over the years.

There's a lot of pissed people out there, and some just might be in position and have power to launch investigation of events that took place during MoSSley's regime, beginning with season 1994.

Yeah! And they should kill George Bush because they didnt find any mass destruction weapons in Iraq at all!

I love Merc and Nico. Just not fond of Brawn or Mike(traitors both :D )

I would agree, but someone might call me "negative"

"Auto Motor und Sport said Mercedes was right about the loophole, but that it could only have been exploited at the price of dramatic fuel consumption, and potential damage to the engine."

"…..with this in mind there should be astronomical fuel consumption as the engine is blowing or attempting to fight the inevitable drop in revs by feeding more fuel into the engine to keep it bubbling to the required amount(blown force in this instance)."

remember when renault/redbull claimed they could not stop coldblowing because it would cause heat related reliability issues? I think they are still coldblowing with the 20% throttle they are allowed to use when "off" throttle. Not a big deal really.

Attended the Aus GP and witnessed the cars at different points of the track, the most obvious teams running an overrun exhaust were Red Bull and Sauber. Exhaust note when off throttle was deafening especially around turn 3 exit and turn 4.

Strange they have the same exhaust design as well....

No, Haug pointed it out not Brawn. Ross pointed to the actual exhaust design that still blows the diffuser.

Er Williams and Toyota both had DDD's too. No exclusivity here at all.

Wow, give the guy a break! Whatever happened its a closed chapter now. By your token, McLaren Alonso, Hamilton, Ferrari, Red Bull etc etc should all be tarnished too...not only that but the events of the above happened in the last 5 years....

Who really has the appetite for that? Hill pushed Schumacher to the edge...had Senna been around Schu wouldve had no hope. Bottom line, let it rest.

Does the 10% throttle rule apply on a per-cylinder basis, or does it cover the whole engine? I am just wondering if it is possible to take the fuel required to run the whole engine at 10% thottle but reduce the number of cylinders that receive the total amount of fuel.

My crude maths says that it would be equivalent to running those two cylinders at 40% throttle (though that would be thrown out if the flow rate is non-linear, so don't hold me to that).

If this is the case, would it make much difference to power output or gas volume produced?

Discuss.
