Sometimes I wonder what I have to do in order to make you guys understand my american-afficianado?

This is as good as it gets to me anyway.

Saw them many times in their hey-day fantastic sound, and I still dig them, but I do know one band that they made the mistake to follow at Qualcom (The facility formerly known as San Diego Municipal Stadium) there was never a concert in S.D. that Carlos played where he wasn't the headline band for many years after that however he is from Tijuana not mericuh. If you didn't get laid at a Santana concert you were probably on way to much acid

This band was also emblematic of a certain US culture:

How many people suspect that these guys might make an appearance at the festivities in Austin? They did just release a new album.

Jimi Hendrix's favorite guitarist.

Saw him during his second to last tour at the San Diego Sports Arena It was the summer after 8th grade and it took me about a little less than a year to figure out how he knew a chick near the front was wearing yellow panties when he said " I would like to dedicate this next song to the girl in the second row in the yellow underwear, and proceeded to play:

I hate to pile on more off-topic stuff, but if you're talking white blues - or just plain guitarwork - I don't think it gets better than this. I learned to play 90% of this by ear last Christmas and it's a joy to play. Clapton masterfully combines major and minor sounds to create some of the sweetest tension ever on the six-string.

Clapton circa 1966, full Les Paul-Marshall combo goodness backed by none other than Jimmy Page:

Magnificent, never seen that, but how about this one for white blues, irish actually, to take you down a step?

Beg to differ Al, Hendix was two years older than Beck and tore up the Monterey Pop Festival in '67
Beck started with the Yardbirds in '66. Couldn't touch Jimi's creativity in my opinnion. Vive la difference

I'm pretty sure the following is the best guitar work I've ever heard.

If anyone's interested, I have this whole show on great quality MP3s. Martin Scorsese filmed it for his "The Blues" documentary series, Clapton knew it, and he played his ass off.

Oh, and just to nudge this ever so slightly back on-topic, Austin is easily one of the top-5 live music towns in America. A trip is worth it for that reason alone.

Great stuff a lot of people don't realize that Fleetwood Mac was a Blues band in 1965

Don't worry Pup..I got my nasty little letter over daring to complain about it...was told it was "a mistake".
Maybe if they weren't so quick to pull the trigger.
I think the Mario video showed that this place is gonna be one of the better circuits.
