As you can see the MP4/22 is a clear evolution of MP4/21 and is specially altered in the back .
To fresh your memories remember : Montoya in 2006 said that the rear end of the car is wrong and needs significant changes . That is why in some races Montoya used a different front wing so as to improve the balance between the front and rear axle while Raikkonen who has a different driving style prefered a lower downforce front wing .

Both cars did not not have wheel rim sheilds , even now MP4/22 is still racing without them . It seems to be strange that a top team refuses to use them yet especially when other teams are developing their own sheilds or copying the Ferrari sheilds (Williams , Renault , Toyota )
