When they fuel the cars? After qualy or just after parc fermme?
Now knowing we will have a wet race who is gonna fuel less will benefit more from the efficiency of their ICE and Merc I think has the upper hand, don`t you think?

I wonder that both Mercedes and Ferrari are far away from the limit of 15 000 rpm
Max fuel is regulated to begin at 10.5k rpm, there is absolutely no advantage to running much faster than that(only disadvantages). As revs climb past 10.5k boost must decline, which would also decrease MGUH harvesting.

The fuel flow rate does not stop them from running up to 15K rpm, but the regs keep them at around 10.5k rpm.

Efficiency also decreases as rpm increases, the faster the engine ins running the less time the fuel has to burn.
That's not completely accurate, a more or less accurate, acceptably accurate, but not dead on accurate.

Looks damp but not raining? Start on inters? Any weather forecast?

Ps: stupid question, but assuming they couldnt start due to the medical helicopter thingy again... would they still do the ceremony? :D
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Helmut just said on ORF that it looks like the start will be russian roulette. Intermediates look quicker but the fronts will destroy quickly.

Toto: their drivers tested slicks but its very slippery. Unlikely that they will risk it.

Looks like start on inters with finding the best moment to pit to slicks. Another positive; start on inters and you can choose your next tires. Start on slicks and they are forced to use at least the two compounds?

so the start is not declared wet. They need to use both dry compounds?

Looking at the observations from Shanghai there is a low ceiling again, 600 ft. It was 500 ft Fri when they couldn't fly. That was 500 ft overcast this is 600 ft scattered. Fri was instrument flight rules and right now, since the low deck is scattered not overcast the conditions are marginal visual flight rules. So in short the medical copter can fly right now and the TAF keeps IFR conditions out of the area until 19Z.

Lance done strolled right out of the race, at least he didn't crash the car.

I believe as long as the inters or wets are run they don't need to run both compounds.

Such a shame for what happened, we could have an amazing race but this SC is so bad, so so bad, just because that guy (Giovinazzi) is so low. In these days when races like thit with are increasingly fewer a guy la Giovinazi ruin everything.

Now same old crap race, all guys are on slicks due to the SC nothing spectacular had happened, after SC Lewis will pull away and we watch nothing, same old crap race.. I'm so disappointed...in my country is 9:21 AM and i went to sleep at 6:35 AM and only reason for being now up is F1 so thank you very much Giovinazzi for ruining my morning and day. To be the perfect worst day have to happen something at MOTOGP, maybe Abraham will hit Rossi or so.

The new regs seem to be a dud so far....tyres too durable....wings too wide...DRS not effective even on the back straight.....no real chance for alternate strat....
imo they need to take 1 of those factors out.....
perhaps reintroduce refueling to spice up the strats?
