interesting to see such similar shots of the 2003 Ferarri and 2004 Sauber.

The two cars were always suspected to be the same.

Got any photos to compare bar555?

The two cars had many common features (to a point that one could say that Ferrari sold the F2003GA design project to Sauber) but they were not identical You could say that they were "brothers" but not "twins" .

I decided to start with the main differences which were indeed a lot and signifficant as well

Does anyone know where those extra 20 mm of wheelbase were gained for C23? Was it the chassis or just a 2004-spec gearbox?

I would imagine the wheelbase difference is more down to the teams deliberately not releasing exact information than a design change.

In an interview about the talk about copying etc. Peter Sauber said that they didn't have any Windtunnel in 03 to 04 when they started to design the car, so they made ab "optical", outward copy of the F2003GA.

The car only gained performance later in the year when they redesigned some details with help from the windtunnel. So I doubt somehow they got copy of Ferrari plans.
They also had a Ferrari Gearbox that year I think.
