If anyone missed Ross Brawn conveying the congratulations to Hamilton from the Schumacher family for equaling his pole record the video is on Formula 1's YouTube channel.

That's a result I didn't expect, Bottas underperformed a bit, so did Raikkonen when it really was important. Verstappen excellent driving!

Tow surely helped the german.
Ferrari had their number two driver do whatever was needed to get their number one driver up in the front row. Vettel has been slower than Kimi all weekend, they had to do something.
Do you ever have anything but codswallop to post?

Kimi messed up his lap and if then he provides a tow to aid Seb, it's good team work and part of his job.

If there is any truth to this 'Kimi is a number 2' BS, Kimi himself is to blame. He's been utterly trumped by Seb for the 3rd year running and dare I say, Seb has even earned the right to be number 1. However, I'm sure there is no such no.1 and no.2 nonsense.

Kimi has been the faster driver all weekend, but when push came to shove, he blew it as he so often has in his Ferrari career.

For all those who believe this conspiracy crap and pretend like Kimi is being wronged, he just renewed again for Ferrari. So, he either accepts his place or there is no such hierarchy which I believe is the case.

Bottom line is that Sebastian Vettel is by far the better driver.
WDC:

1- Vettel 202 points
2- Hamilton 188 points
.
.
.
5- Raikonnen 116 points

Ferrari has a #1 and #2, as any team would do with his drivers in these positions in the WDC. Doing any other thing would be utterly stupid. But TOs are never provided in Q, anyone suggesting Kimi lap in Q3 was compromised to help Seb should be simply ignored. There´s nothing better for a team than qualifying both cars as high as possible, as they did at Hungary and that, and only that, made it possible for Seb to win the race and increase his WDC advantage

Kimi renewal is proving nothing IMHO tough. What are his options? Do you think he could get any other top seat? I don´t, so renewing with Ferrari is his best option even if he´s considered a #2, wich I think they do. But only internally, Ferrari never provide TOs before one of his drivers can´t fight for the WDC anymore, so both drivers get equal chances at the first third/half of the season

It´s been the same forever, but some people can´t see through stereotypes, and keep thinking Ferrari provide TOs from first GP and the rest don´t

Anycase I must say Seb lap was asthonishing, or to be more precise, sector 3 was asthonishing, he made the record there and it caught by surprise anyone, including De la Rosa and Toni Cuquerella at the spanish TV, and they´re two guys who are barely suprised by anything in F1, so when I´ve read Seb got a tow at sector 3 everything got sense, it surely was noticeable

42.7, only 2 tenths off Lewis, it was unbelieveble, good job for both Ferrari drivers. It´s a pitty Kimi didn´t make a proper lap as he surely deserved a better grid postion

Assuming both finish without problems, the race for the win is all down to the pit stop. Undercut and or pit stop error will probably determine it.

Alonso had a cracking couple opening laps but now falling back with their engine deficit. Sad.

Alonso deserves to be frustrated for sure, but he should be a little more professional on the radio.

If there's another pit stop, lap record (proper one - in the race) will go.

At that stage it was Lewis slow, as Bottas was quicker than the pair.

Even with ultras I don't think vettel has any chance getting past mercedes on either of the straights.

Mercedes pointless second run in Q2 could prove the difference today, could've saved those tyres for this scenario. Still i'm surprised they didn't bolt on the used set.

Perez might just have decided this race with the tyre differences at the front.

Mad to push his team mate in to the wall, too.

Looks like Perez won't be getting a telling off by the stewards...
