You will laugh at me, but I still think that the clearest proof that McLaren held Ferrari documents is the way the MP4/22 was set up in the US GP.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

I don't remember that. what was special about that setup?
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

They had like 10km/h less of speed at the trap (at least in qualy), and were actually in the bottom part of the speed list. You know that the McLaren hadn't the least powerful engine or the least efficient aero. This makes me suspect they knew with good accuracy how fast Ferrari could lap with their set-up, and that made an ideal wing set-up a necessity for winning. Remember it's usual in a car to put less wing than ideal for a race, in order to not compromise overtaking.
