Some changes have been made at the circuit, not to the track itself, but to runoff areas and barriers, to improve safety, as detailed below (from this article on motorsport.com). Most notably the "Wall of Champions" has been altered slightly.
  • Most of the guardrails and some 5,000 tyres have been removed and replaced by TecPro barriers.
  • A SAFER™ barrier replaces the steel guardrails at Turn 5.
  • Gravel traps are replaced by asphalt.
  • The "Wall of Champions" at the exit of the last chicane has had its angle modified.

This is a Hamilton track so he is my favourite to win BUT Ferrar should be very strong here and the tyres would be essential once again. It seems that Ferrari has focused more on ultrasofts than Mercedes.

This is one of my favourite tracks so I really want to watch this race. Rain would be more than welcome but Canada offers lots of fun even without rain.

So...

Pole:

1. Hamilton
2. Vettel
3. Bottas
4. Raikkonen
5. Massa
6. Ricciardo
7. Vestapppen
8. Perez
9. Ocon
10. Alonso

Race:

1. Hamilton
2. Raikkonen
3. Ricciardo
4. Bottas
5. Perez

Wich team will suffer more with they brakes????

Last year ferrari was less than 0.2s off pole and were pretty competitive in the race. It'll be interesting to see whether or not they're able to hold their ground from monaco on this engine heavy track. Hopefully they can.
Expect red bull (or should I say renault PU) to be nowhere round here.

It's going to rain, I have it raining at least on Friday morning(which is as far as my sim goes), I'll have a much better idea of what's to come by Thursday of this week.

Yup. RB will be like 1s slower here and at Baku. Renault's PU update is apparently delayed and even with such improvement, I very much doubt it will be enough for it to be close to even Ferrari's PU, nevermind Mercedes'. I guess Verstappen and Ricciardo will have to wait for Singapore to be able to fight at the top again, unfortutanly.

I predict a pole for Bottas and a Mercedes 1-2 finish(with Hamilton first, obviously. But the British media/espnf1 will typically totally overlook Bottas being treated as 2nd driver again)

I suppose this is to try to avoid the scenario in which cars that have hit it bounce back out onto the racing line.

Don´t forget Hungary. I expect a tight battle between Ferrari and Red Bull there.

yes, it will rain in Canada or at least be mixed, we will have a great battle between VES and VET with HAM, who is then overtaken by ALO to join the podium. VES VET ALO HAM RIC SAI RAI BOT PER HUL.

If you are going to do such predictions you could at least also put player or stroll in the points

There is no chance of rain during the race, but for qualifying session, there is a reasonable chance of rain.
