What are your thoughts on increased pit lane speed?

Post

I think from 80 to 100 kph, 45 to 65 mph?

Back in pre 'Senna's Death' days, the pit lane speed was unlimited, for those who are somewhat new to F1 (or are just young). There was no refueling and only tire changes.

It was incredible to see the Drivers (Senna,Prost,Mansell,Burger,Alesi, etc) pull out of their pit burning rubber and blasting down the pit lane, dust flying, mechanics leaping away. They could be doing over 120+ mph easily before pit out. Dangerous but oh so fun to watch.

So, at least now it will not seem that they are coasting like some pit lanes last year (I can walk faster than that for some track!).

Any real impact/interest?

I hope that the drivers are capable of avoiding Nakajima-style games of pit crew bowling. 80 km/h sounds like a sensible limit to me, with 60 km/h during practices.

It seemed to work well, no major problems with the speed.
