The Tesla roadster is a lotus body shoved with some electro bits just like this car.

Ehh, so what is your point?
The Merc SLS is built on a Dodge Viper floor pan, so what.
Lotus make very good light cost effective sports cars.
I just wish they had not copied Ferrari et al and tried to built super cars, it will hurt them soon.
Lotus chassis are ideal for electric traction and if Chapman was alive I am sure he would be developing that ideal and not gas guzzling history.
