Home Made Supercharger!

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

LOL

He has to be taking the pi** :!:

"I hope it will hold together at high rpm"

Its more likely to coat the intake manifold with melted plastic than produce much more hp.

10/10 for comedy value :)

Humm...probably it will hold 1500 rpm.....over that I don't think so

My guess is that the metal sheet used is aluminum.....at high revs for long periods of time that thing will heat up a whole lot.....the aluminum will probably melt! Besides that....unless the hair drier is made out of steel, titanium, inconal....or some other kind of alloy I don't think it will withstand high tempretures....the hair driers I've used usually are made out of plastic....!

)) It's very interesting))

This sistem is fantastic, but i'am afraid about bearing inside the roller wheel.
BUt.wheel's diameter is near 84 mm
if Guy ride 72 km/h it is equal 20m/sec
It means that wheel have 60s/(0.084m*3.14/20m/s)=4550rpm ))

Fantastic sistem

Agreed, that is a mad thing to do with a hairdryer,

but electrically powered forced induction for automotive engines is just around the corner, with people like garrett working on it.
So the principle isn't so far off, just the implementation...
I guess thats what that guy thought..
