Sato and Schumi make peace

Takuma Sato, the Japanese BAR Honda driver, has revealed that he and Michael Schumacher made up for their 'incident' at spa in a Sao Paulo toilet. The Japanese ran into the back of the seven-time World Champion at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Belguim.

After Schu's car had stopped, he got out of the car to let Sato know what he thought of him. Schumi was so angry at losing the chance of a podium place that he cuffed his rival across the top of his helmet. The German launched into an amazing tirade against Sato.

Michael Schumacher "He keeps doing this. Whatever medication he is on isn't working."

Sato grabbed the first chance to try and make up with Schumacher. His first chance was while making a personal pit stop behind the garages ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Takuma Sato "I spoke to him here, in the toilet. We are ok now. It's in the past, obviously it was racing and it's all done now."
