Audi wins Le Mans, rivals suffer mechanical failure

This years 24 hours of Le Mans has been won by the Audi R15 #9 after completing a massive 397 laps, a new record. The car beat their teammates, #8 by one lap and the #9 by 3 laps. Neither of the Peugeots managed to finish the race as all suffered mechanical failures.

The first petrol engines car was the #4 Oreca on 373 laps.

In LMP2 #42 HPD - ARX was 1st after completing 367 laps, ahead of #35 Pescarolo on 361 LAPS and 3rd #25 LOLA on 358 LAPS. Car 42 also won the Michelin Green X Challenge.

In GT1 the winner was #50 Saleen on 331 LAPS, ahead of the #72 Corvette and #52 ASTON MARTIN. GT2 was won by #77 Porsche totaling 338 laps. He finished ahead of #89 Ferrari and #97 Porsche on 327 laps.
