The Honda Racing F1 Team began a three-day test at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy this morning, the first of two tests scheduled before the next Grand Prix at Imola, the first GP in Europe this season, in two and a half weeks time.

Weather conditions are much improved since the team’s last visit to Vallelunga a fortnight ago, with ambient temperatures reaching 26˚C at lunchtime.

Anthony Davidson and James Rossiter began the test today concentrating on tyre programmes looking at options for the forthcoming European races, alongside chassis set-up work.

Anthony completed 120 laps, setting the fastest time of the day – a 01:12.804 – with James completing a total of 132 laps.

Jenson Button will join the team tomorrow taking over from James.
