All the regulation changes submitted by the Formula 1 Commission earlier this month have today been approved by the World Motor Sport Council. As a result, the final shootout stage of Qualifying for the French Grand Prix will 15 minutes in length, a reduction of five minutes. In addition the World Motor Sport Council have confirmed that third cars will not be permitted in 2007.
