Storm interupts test programme of Toro Rosso

By on

The noise of Formula 1 engines was drowned out by thunderstorms this morning in Monza, when apart from installation laps, no one attempted any running. In the afternoon, the track began to dry and Tonio Liuzzi, who took over from Sebastian Vettel today, was finally able to get down to business, first on intermediate tyres and then on dry weather Bridgestone Potenzas.

On the Italian driver's agenda, some tyre comparison work and assessment of the new aerodynamic package the team hopes to run here in two weekends time for the Italian Grand Prix.

The rain means the test has been extended and Tonio drives again tomorrow, when the team hopes to make up for lost time and finish its planned programme for this test.
