Promising day for BMW despite heavy rain

By on

Heavy rain prevented the teams from testing in the morning. It took quite a long time for the track to dry out because of water running onto the surface in various places. Robert Kubica completed several laps in wet conditions in order to gather data using standard wet tyres. After the track had dried out, Robert worked on the set-up of the car and found some promising solutions.

Robert Kubica:
Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.07-06 / BMW P86/7 V8 Test kilometres today: 278 km (48 laps) Fastest lap: 1:24.413 min

What comes next: Due to bad weather conditions in the morning of day three, it was decided to extend the test by one day. Robert will continue driving tomorrow hoping to complete the preparations for the Italian Grand Prix.
