Hamilton under investigation

According to autosport.com, Lewis Hamilton's behaviour behind the safety car in Fuji is under investigation by the race stewards. Mark Webber pointed the finger at Hamilton as the Aussie believes that he caused the crash with Vettel by driving extremely slow behind the safety car.

It is believed that the FIA has been given new information about Hamilton's driving during the second safety car period. It is not clear what this new evidence may be, but it could relate to video footage suggesting that Hamilton was braking and accelerating excessively.

An FIA spokesman confirmed to autosport that the stewards were looking into the matter: "New evidence has been brought to the stewards attention and they are currently investigating the matter.

Hamilton has been asked to meet with the stewards tomorrow. Given the fact that Vettel has been handed a 10-place grid penalty for this weekend, Hamilton should receive a similar punishment.
