Nelsinho visits Brasilia

Before touching down in Sao Paulo for the much-anticipated final round of the 2007 season, the ING Renault F1 Team's test driver, Nelson Piquet Jr., stopped off at home in Brasilia to visit his family and friends!

After putting on a spectacular show on the streets of Mexico City last weekend, Nelsinho couldn’t wait to get back to his home country, and spend a few days with his friends and family in Brasilia, at his father’s house. Nelsinho lives in England and spends most of the year on the road, living out of a suitcase, whether it be at a test session, a Grand Prix or during development work for the new generation GP2 car; all this meant that the prospect of a few days to put his feet up at home was really something to get excited about!

He got his days at home with his Dad, but they weren’t spent in a sweet far niente. He was racing quad bikes and go-karts with his Dad, cousin and his younger brother Pedro, who has already won championships in Brazil. He also did some sightseeing for the cameras, showing them around the distinctive architecture of Brasilia, before cooling off from the 36° temperatures with a little water-skiing on one of the many artificial lakes surrounding the Brazilian capital. He arrived in Sao Paulo yesterday afternoon looking refreshed and with a smile on his face!
