Ecclestone threatens to retire

Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula One supremo, rarely talks about retiring from running the sport he loves so much, but yesterday Mr. E declared to 'The Times' that if the FIA would take away Raikkonen's title, he would seriously consider to retire.

Tomorrow, 15 November, the appeal launched by McLaren against the decision of the race stewards at Interlagos will be handled in court. If they decide to disqualify Heidfeld, Kubica and Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton would be crowned Champion.

Ecclestone said: “I don’t think that the Formula One fans would like a championship to be won because the temperature of the fuel, which can’t be measured anyway, is possibly 5C out. If anybody thinks that’s the best thing for Formula One, then I’d have a very serious thought about me retiring.”
